What's the deal with listing agents charging fee's to cooperating Brokerages buyers for unprovided services ? I now see them popping up for Short Sales ! I am disgusted , pissed off and just dang on angered by whats going on in our industry ! The code of ethics is being used as toilet tissue for many a Realtor ! Many are not deserving of the title . When did the list agent become a party to the contract that is solely between the buyer and the seller ! And please (for those of you that charge the junk fee's ) don't tell me that its for your overhead , or to pay your negotiator,or to compensate for what your seller is not paying you ! Thats your problem , not my buyers ! My buyer is receiving a service from ME, NOT YOU ! Your doing what your supposed to do which is submit my buyers offer to the seller ! It is ridiculous whats going on ! I actually had a Realtor tell me that he wanted my buyer to bring in the $395.00 junk fee with the contract . He stated that it was not going on the HUD ! I asked him the purpose of the fee and he stated that it pays for his shortsale negotiator ! Bull#$%^ . I don't think so ! Not on my watch !
Buyer Agents ,Protect Your Buyers ! Thats what your there for ! Don't allow them to sign documents that have nothing to do with the seller and or is not authorized by the seller !
